The Newest Frames in (Our) Town!
Tracey here, your friendly neighbourhood Optician, and I am so, SO excited to share with you the newest and hottest eyewear collection here at both Merivale and Wellington Vision Care: the EyeSeeYOW collection! The idea for these frames and their respective designs were born way back last March when our #bossbabe Dr. Joelle Zagury and a few fabulous members of our eyewear boutique attended Vision Expo East in New York City. The collection is hip and trend-leaning but still wearable without tons of embellishment. Each model has several colour options and is available in both metal and acetate materials. The shapes and colour palettes do all the talking, but the coolest part is that each model is named for an Ottawa neighbourhood! Equally as cool are the price point and package options.
On January 9th, we hosted a fabulous little soiree at Wellington Vision Care to celebrate our new shop in Westboro. Our EyeSeeYOW frames made their debut there and were spotted on the faces of some of our favourite local bloggers Chantal (@chantsy) and Katie (@yowcitystyle). We’ve just launched them at Merivale Vision Care where we feature them in their own entire display right in the centre of the optical boutique.
The whole collection is amazing, but I couldn’t talk about these without sharing which ones I’m already wearing! My two personal favourites are Manor Park and Strathcona. The Manor Park is a chic acetate frame with an oversized front and champagne gold plaque at the top of the nude-beige temple. The front is so interesting on this one; it’s crystal, blush, and rosy brown all at once making its style so soft and lovely. A great option if you love the nude and crystal frames that are super on-trend right now but feel its too much. The Manor Park’s edgier counterpart comes in smouldering dark charcoal.
The Strathcona is a hip little metal frame with a round teardrop shape. Matte black around the lenses and rose gold everywhere else, it was a done deal the moment I set eyes on it (no pun intended). The Strathcona also comes in all rose gold so I’m sorely tempted to add this one to my collection. My new little wire beauty calmed the craving I had for a similar pair from another line in our office that is more than twice the cost. A few patients have even mistaken the Strathcona for being part of another designer line when asking me about it. One patient even said that it “looked expensive!”
Guess what?! The price point is so amazing. We offer a frame and lens package starting at just $189. Please let us help you find the EyeSeeYOW style that’s perfect for you. Bonus points if the one you choose is named after the actual neighbourhood you live in!
