Women’s Day 2020!
Hi Friends! I am sure that many of you celebrated International Women’s Day this past weekend. We celebrate International Women’s Day annually here at Merivale Vision Care, Wellington Vision Care and Ottawa Vision Therapy! Since the day fell on Sunday, we moved our celebration to Monday March 9th at MVC and Tuesday March 10th at WVC. By doing so, we could celebrate during our open business hours with all our wonderful colleagues and patients. If you popped by MVC on Monday, you were likely to find almost all of us dressed in purple to honour the special day!
Giving back is big part of how we celebrate International Women’s Day celebration. On Monday and Tuesday we donated $25 from every pair of glasses purchase to the local Zonta Club of Ottawa. Zonta is an organization whose mission is to empower women through service and advocacy. They work hard to elevate the status of women both locally and internationally. Zonta was established in 1929, making this year it’s 91st year in the service of women, and we couldn’t be prouder to support their initiatives.
International Women’s Day is hugely important to us as we are a woman-led, women-supporting business and community. Let’s all continue to lift each other up and create opportunities for one another for success! Thank you so much for supporting this important day!
