We have all been overwhelmed with Covid-19 this year, and it’s hard-hitting effects. For many of our fellow Ottawa citizens, things are harder than they have ever been before. We want to spread some good and help those in need in our community, especially with the upcoming holiday season, by doing what we can to make sure there is food on the table during these uncertain times.
In support of the Ottawa Food Bank, we at Merivale Vision Care and Wellington Vision Care are participating in CAPCORP Canada’s Fill the Foyer campaign. CAPCORP is located in Ottawa, was founded in 1981 and since then has become one of Canada’s leading financial service companies whose clients range from large national organizations to the individual investor. They are committed to developing and maintaining long-standing quality long standing client relationships, just like we are.
To support the Fill the Foyer campaign we are donating a canned food item for every eye exam completed in November, and one for every pair of glasses purchased in December. Through this initiative CAPCORP will match our donation! Last year with the support of clients, colleagues, and friends the Fill the Foyer campaign donated over 7000 food items and over $46,000 – its best year ever. Let’s surpass this total this year! Just think of how a donation of this magnitude to the Ottawa Food Bank will benefit so many local families in need.
If you haven’t scheduled your eye exam yet and it’s on your to-do list let us get you booked. We’ll make sure your eyes are healthy, and that we get you the vision care solutions you need all while donating to the Ottawa Food Bank. If you are lovingly holding onto your prescription and you haven’t ordered your glasses yet, let’s get you scheduled in to see one of our wonderful Opticians. You’ll be able to maximize your insurance benefits for vision care before the year is out, and we will make a donation to Fill the Foyer when you purchase your new glasses. Let’s work together to see our best, Fill the Foyer, support the Ottawa Food Bank and help support Ottawa families in need.
