Holiday Gift Guide Part 2
Hi There! We are so excited to see you back for part two of our Shop Local series and Holiday Gift Guide. Get ready for more amazing ideas to help you prep for the holidays, all while seeing your best!
We are in December, can you believe it?! The time is nigh to get those glasses updated, especially if you haven’t used your insurance benefits yet. Be sure to take advantage, for most folks the deadline is December 31st. We have an amazing new second pair offer starting this month. When you purchase your first pair, your second pair of computer progressive lenses or anti-fatigue lenses are only $150 with a second frame purchase. Serious savings to help you see well at work and play this holiday season.

During your visit with us don’t forget to pick up an anti-fog lens treatment. Mask wearing while going in and outdoors, especially in the cold weather, can make your lenses foggy so please see our detailed post here about the best products to fight the fog.
For a wonderful treat please pop by Yow Popcorn (no pun intended). This handcrafted gourmet popcorn has been a delicious fixture at our trunk shows time and again. We recommend it for movie nights too. Yow Popcorn offers seasonal flavours like sweet cinnamon kettle corn, but for us the stars of the pop include dill pickle and truffle parmesan. Yum!

If you’re looking for fashionable duds, look no further than Shop Vincent. Owned by sisters Angie and Amanda, this shop is one of our staff favourites. You can often find a few of us sporting garments from this lovely shop. Inspired by the sisters’ Uncle Vincent and fueled by a passion for fashion, this shop will have the perfect piece for yourself or the fashionista in your life.

If you or one of your loved ones is getting married, be sure to book an appointment at With Love Bridal. This warm modern boutique has grown to become one of the most loved bridal shops in Ottawa. With Love focuses on a highly personalized experience, and their supportive staff believes that shopping for the dress should be equally as memorable as the dress itself.

If you or someone you know loves beautiful textiles, Mini Tipi is your ultimate destination. Owned by Mel and Trish and proudly Indigenous, you will find the perfect Canadian made textiles for your everyday adventures. Mini Tipi offers handmade accessories for women, children, and babies such as blankets, scarves, shawls, bags, and mittens. The Thunderbird blanket and Desert Everyday Bag are on our wish list.

Stay tuned for part three of our Gift Guide coming at you next week, and happy Supporting Local while you shop!
