Tis’ The Season at MVC!
The joyous spirit of the holiday season is upon us and no matter how you celebrate we truly hope that it brings you and your loved ones the deepest sense of joy. After pivoting many times and cancelling many things due to the global pandemic, we at Merivale Vision Care made the decision to bring the festive spirit back in the best ways we were able to. How did we celebrate? By giving back, celebrating ourselves, and having fun!

Just like last year, this year we participated in CAPCORP Canada’s Fill the Foyer campaign. We collected canned food items between Nov 8th and Dec 13th and invited our patients to do so as well. We also donated $4 for every eye exam performed during the entire month of November in support of the Ottawa Food Bank and decided to keep the donations going until the end of December.

Let us tell you about the MVC/WVC/OVT Christmas Party! We brought the whole team together on Friday November 26th to press pause on the work stuff and let our hair down a little. We dressed up, met at Parlour on Wellington Street West and shared an amazing meal together. We chatted the night away – safely of course – and toasted to our team for making the best of our business and our year. There was a lot of glitter, there were prizes, and everyone had so much fun celebrating the beginning of the festive season.

The party didn’t stop there. Our office continued with the festive spirit by celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas amongst our staff. Our very own in-house Fun Committee set up 12 festive themed days during the first two weeks of December. We strictly adhered to the four food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup when we had hot chocolate day, cookies and milk day, and a candy day. We had a day dedicated to Christmas music, we wore ugly Christmas sweaters and decked the halls with holiday décor and snowflakes designed by Merivale Vision Care staff members and their children. Frankly, it was awesome!

Thank you all for being part of the Merivale Vision Care family, we truly would not be here without the support from you and your families. Our greatest passion as eye care professionals is to deliver excellent vision for life’s precious moments, and our team is so grateful for all of you. Wishing you the most joyous of holiday seasons no matter how you celebrate, and all the best for the upcoming New Year. 2022, we see you!
