We're back with the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa

Even though the summer sun is still blazing, barbeques are still sizzling, and camps are in full swing, prepping for back to school isn’t far from popping up on everyone’s to-do list. For some children and youth in Ottawa, preparing for back to school isn’t as easy as just popping out to grab all the necessities. Many local children and youth in vulnerable areas across our community do not have the means to access what they need to set them up for a successful school year. Here at Merivale Vision Care, we believe every child – regardless of circumstance – should have the opportunity for a great upcoming school year and a bright future ahead.

We are so proud to share that we are partnering with The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BCGO) in 2022 to help prepare local kids in need for a successful 2022-2023 school year. We have partnered with the BGCO in previous years for the same initiative and each year has been a huge success! The Merivale Vision Care team couldn’t wait for this time of year to roll around so we could do it all again. When you purchase your glasses with us during the months of July and August, we will donate $10 from each pair sold to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. Simply by ordering your new eyeglasses and sunglasses, you are helping set local children up for success at school.

The BCGO provides many children and youth across the city with a safe space and free access to life-changing programs designed to drive personal development. With your help, last year we were able to provide 210 children each with excellent quality, stylish backpacks filled to the brim with all the supplies they needed for a successful school year.
